Belvedere on Lower Branch Road in Tramore is a semi-detached Victorian house originally built around 1860. The name "Belvedere" translates to "beautiful view," reflecting its prime position overlooking the coastline. Located on an elevated site, it features a landscaped forecourt enclosed by a rendered wall with wrought iron gates. The house is historically significant for its role in the town's development as a 19th-century seaside resort.
Notably, it was the starting point for the "Paddy Power" bookmaking empire, with one room previously used as an early office.
The residence has been carefully maintained to preserve its original 19th-century character and interior fabric. It features unpainted rendered walls with traditional quoins and original timber sash windows. The property is within a five-minute walk of the Promenade and Tramore's long sandy beach. While it has its own private grounds, it is entirely separate from any larger public parklands or estate gardens. It currently functions as a private home and occasional Airbnb rental for historic property enthusiasts
